Just completed the game on the hard mode and to be honest... that was one of the most challenging and sometimes outright unfair experiences I've ever had. I will rember it for the rest of my life. However, it was a rewarding one, since the secret fourth level was something completely different. And the (SPOILER) guy's true face left me with some questions.
1. Is it supposed to be a spirit of an addict/satanist/someone else who doesn't like trespassers and wants to play a little "game" with the ones who come there? I mean, just like the other ghosts, his face is all black with the white facial features, but the thing is, he cannot go through walls like the other ghosts, which is interesting...
2. There is a rare chance to have a film corruption while being jumpscared, with some words popping on the screen, but too quickly to read. What are these words, if you have any means of knowing that?
3. And a final quiestion. There is something in the update notes that mentions a certain secret "VOID" level with no achievements indicating another level or an easter egg. What does it refer to and is it relevant to the plot?
Its a great game! However, there is a bug that makes the second level nearly unplayable for me, at least in the way I play it. The black figures in the second level move while the game is paused, making it impossible to make progress if your a slow thinker. I do not know if this is a feature, but they also can spawn with the game paused.

1. Consternation II's killer is a troubled individual that sees this run down factory as a home. You are a trespasser. His face is also just a beard and hair combo (which is probably hard to tell when in a frantic chase). He's the only human, the ghost enemies are his victims.
2. Kill. Howard. Child.
3. And VOID was just a reference to the film corruptions. Nothing more.
I'm glad you enjoyed even though the game can be difficult at times! I hope you'll play Consternation III when it releases!
Wow, thanks for the reply! I know my questions may be obnoxious, but are these words supposed to be a reference to Albert Fish, or is it the killer's name? Also, I know that the H.I.S. and a chest key thing is supposed to be a pun or an abbreviation for something? And finally, does the first Consternation game have any relevance to the second part's plot?
Nope, the text was only a reference to the plot of Consternation. Also H.I.S just was a pun for “His chest”. I don’t really know what I was thinking lmao. Lastly, yes Consternation I does somewhat correlate to the second game’s plot. Consternation I was a visual representation of what the second game’s human killer’s mind is like. A confusing maze, easy to get lost, full of demons haunting him. There’s a lot more lore as well, but I think that sums up your questions! Also you’re not being obnoxious at all! I love answering questions!
Great game by some genuinely amazing Devs. If you like the retro art style and a horror atmosphere this game is for you! Objects you need in the game are spawned in random locations giving you a bit of a different play through each time.

It’s not a maze though?

Really good looking so far. A little short even for a demo, but still good. Looking forward to seeing the full release.
AWESOME!
